Based in Calbris, France; Jean Barault has been making quite a name for himself in the world of Selmer-Maccaferri style guitars. His replica models are highly regarded for their attention to capturing the original essence, building process and voicing. #061 is no exception to his pedigree. This particular model was inspired by the few rare 500 series Selmer models that were constructed without the 5th brace….allowing for greater presence in the bass response of the instrument. Among some of the unique features: heat bent pliage, Selmer style 3 piece neck joints, handmade Barault “Niglo" tailpiece, hot glue laminated back and sides and custom Brazilian rosewood bridge. Also, included is a custom matching case complete with matching serial number.

This guitar has recently undergone a re-fret, PLEK and an advanced setup to ensure excellence in play ability throughout the entire fretboard.
